The ocean is not one backdrop. It is whales, reefs, coasts, and the routes between them. Protection has to name both the animal and the place.

• Whales on the move

  Humpbacks and other migratory whales use the same corridors year after year. Ship strike and underwater noise make those passages harder.

• Reefs and coasts

  Reefs, kelp, and the shallow edge of the coast are where a lot of ocean life starts. They are also where damage shows up first.

• Bays, ice, and nursery water

  Quiet bays and cold edges still shelter animals that cannot simply move on. Lose the place and the life goes with it.

Blue Corridor, the open project, starts with whale migration routes. The same fund is how this drop pays for named work.
